Creative Residencies

Three residents. One artist. One designer. One healer. Three artists? Three designers? Three healers? We’ll open our hearts and minds to the mix/possibilities.

The idea

We are hoping to curate residencies that bring together different types of creative workers and therapeutic practitioners, to encourage communication and collaboration in a beautiful, natural Highland setting surrounded by lush forests and fresh water lakes.

Most residencies gather people who already speak the same language. We are more interested in what happens when they don’t — when a printmaker, an industrial designer and a bodyworker share a kitchen table for a few weeks and have to explain themselves to each other.

Where you'd stay

The 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom main farmhouse can sleep 8-12 people comfortably. From May to October camping outdoors is also a possibility for larger groups, weather permitting. There are also many affordable accommodations nearby.

There is a wood-fired sauna, a vintage Airstream, a barn with room to make a mess in, and Boshkung Lake a short walk away.

Where things stand

Residencies are still being shaped — dates, length and how we select residents are all being worked out. If the idea speaks to you, write to us and tell us what you'd want to make here. We are building this with the people who show up.
